+ Branding
New Century Hall
New Century Hall is woven into the cultural fabric of Manchester. For decades, it has stood at the heart of the city’s music and entertainment scene, playing host to some of the biggest names in music while becoming an important part of Manchester’s rich musical heritage. Its distinctive architecture and history give the venue a character that feels unmistakably its own.

For the past two years, Studio Fight Or Flight has led New Century’s creative output, from posters and print to the wider visual direction. Most recently, we refreshed the existing identity and designed a new website, putting music at the heart of the experience. Rather than reinventing the brand, we retained its recognisable foundations and introduced a more modern retro feel, drawing inspiration directly from the venue’s distinctive 60s and 70s architecture. Its sweeping curves became a key part of the visual language, alongside vinyl-inspired forms that connect the building’s heritage with its musical identity.

The website was custom designed around this refreshed direction, including an integrated Spotify feature and our favourite detail, the What’s On / Rooms tab. Inspired by flicking through records in a record shop, it brings a tactile, nostalgic feel to the digital experience. As a studio full of musicians and music obsessives, this was a particularly satisfying project to work on. We’re incredibly proud of how it came together.
